Community Swap Days:
The Recycling Team will be hosting Community Swap Days at a number of locations over the coming year to reduce waste in our Borough and give your unwanted items a new lease of life with someone else!
Why not have a clear out, and bring along your unwanted items? You can swap, donate, or simply take items away, all for FREE!
Examples of items you could bring along (or take away!) include:
Toys and nursery goods, household and kitchen items, unwanted gifts, garden items, books - all to be swapped, brought, or taken away.
Clothing (in any condition), shoes, mobile phones, inkjet and toner cartridges - please bring along to be donated to a nominated charity on the day.
No broken or very large items please. There will be a board available on the day for advertising your larger items. All leftover items will be donated to Jacobs Well.

Saturday 21 January 2012 - Alverstoke Parish Centre, Green Rd, Alverstoke - 10am to 1pm. Clothing donated to the British Heart Foundation.

Saturday 31 March 2012 - Bridgemary School (Martin Ramsay Community Suite) - 10am to 1pm

June 2012 (date TBC) - St Thomas' Church Hall, Elson. Clothing donated to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Love Where You Live events
Local groups have been busy making a difference to their local communities by giving things a good tidy up. If you are a local group / event organiser, please let us know as we would love to be able to match volunteers with events! If you are running a local litter pick and would like to borrow litter pickers, please contact Streetscene. We can also provide you with black and clear sacks for rubbish and recycling, and arrange for their collection after your event.

Lee Boost Event
The Recycling Team will be available to give advice and sell green sacks at BOOST events, between March and October. Staff from Streetscene will be in attendance between 9.30 and 10.30 am only. Staff from Gosport Tourist Information Centre will be in attendance at additional selected events, and will have green sacks available for sale.
Lee-on-the-Solent beat surgeries:
The Recycling Team will no longer be attending the Lee beat surgeries, as the Lee BOOST events have proved to be more popular with local residents.
