Recycling Fashion Show - Saturday 26 July!
Gosport schools and youth groups have been busy designing and making costumes from used everyday materials that would otherwise be thrown away, in order to extend the life of the product and also make a fantastic costume!
Children with the best designs have qualified for the final of the Council’s competition, and will model their costume at a Recycling Fashion Show to be held at the Alive and Kicking community event on 26 July in Walpole Park, Gosport.
The Council is hoping for some inventive and colourful designs which support the recycling / reuse message, and raise awareness of what can be recycled in Gosport. Sponsorship and prize donations have been received from many local businesses, so the children can look forward to receiving some exciting prizes on the day! The Fashion Show will begin at approximately 2.00pm on the 26th in the Performance Zone, with a grand final to follow the judging of each age category.
