The relevant acts for each of these activities require that conditions be set for the protection of the particular species and in addition, to safeguard public safety. Where a veterinary surgeon or relevant expert provides specialist advice, the cost is additional and must be met by the applicant. Consultation with other relevant authorities will be carried out. The licence when decided is issued annually.
