The Environmental Health Section provides and supports a wide range of Health Promotion campaigns both nationally and locally throughout the year. Many of these campaigns are educational and advisory, but there are also activity-based campaigns that take the message out into the Borough. In many cases we work closely with other organisations, such as the Primary Care Trusts, NHS Health Promotion, British Heart Foundation etc.
Skin Cancer Policy - Leisure Exposure, Sunbeds and Outdoor Working
In January 1997 the Council adopted a policy based on guidelines issued by the then Health Education Authority in 1996 entitled "Skin Cancer Prevention : Policy Guidelines for Local Authorities". MORE TO FOLLOW (DJP 10/6/09)
