“Height Aware” Campaign

Important update from your health and safety enforcement officers

As part of the Council’s continuing commitment to keep businesses informed of developments in legislation, I would like to bring your attention to our Height Aware campaign.

Councils across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are working in partnership with the Health & Safety Executive to promote the campaign, which is aimed at reducing accidents in workplaces like yours arising from work at height.

This campaign is part of a wider initiative entitled “Fit for Work, Fit for Life, Fit for Tomorrow” or “Fit 3”.

In particular, we would like to invite you to attend one of the series of free briefings being held throughout the County and to take action to reduce the risk of accidents arising from working at height.

In particular, we would draw your attention to the information provided in the attached flyer and would invite you to obtain a copy of the free campaign pack available from the Health and Safety Executive website

Additionally, the flyer has a list of contacts throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who you can contact about issues relating to “Height Aware”.
