RESOLVED: That under Section 100(A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the under-mentioned items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. |

35. | EARLY RETIREMENT – HOUSING OFFICER |
|
Consideration was given to an exempt report of the Housing Services Manager in connection with a request for early retirement. |
|
RESOLVED: That |
|
(a) the request for early retirement from the Housing Officer referred to in the Housing Services Manager’s report be approved in the interests of the efficiency of the service with effect from 15 April 2005, with enhanced pension giving added years benefit of 363 days to 40 years service; and |
|
(b) the vacancy be advertised, as appropriate, with a view to re-appointment to the post of Housing Officer with effect from 1 October 2005. |

36. | EARLY RETIREMENT – CHIEF EXECUTIVE |
|
Consideration was given to the exempt report of the Head of Personnel in respect of the early retirement of the Chief Executive from the Council’s service in the interests of the efficiency of the service, with effect from 31 March 2005. |
|
RESOLVED: That the early retirement of the Chief Executive be approved, with effect from 31 March 2005, with enhanced pension giving added years benefit of 2 years and 327 days service to age 60. |
