RESOLVED:  That Councillor Taylor be elected Chairman for the Municipal Year 2005/06 and Councillor Dickson be elected Vice-Chairman for the Municipal Year 2005/06.

 

 

 

 

Councillor Edwards declared an interest in Agenda Item 10(i) St Thomas Church Hall.

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED:  That the Minutes of the meeting of the Sub-Board held on 23 February 2005 be approved and signed by the Chairman as a true and correct record.

 

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED:  That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the under-mentioned items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 7 Part I of Schedule 12A of the Act.

 

 

 

 

Consideration was given to the exempt joint report of the Financial Services Manager and Leisure and Amenities Services Manager (a copy of which is affixed in the Minute Book as Appendix ‘A’) concerning a number of applications for Revenue Grant Aid.

 

 

RESOLVED: That:

 

 

(i)

A grant of £500 be paid to Gosport & Lee-on-the-Solent Lions Club;

 

 

(ii)

No grant be paid to Portsmouth Action Field Gun 2001;

 

 

(iii)

A grant of £610 be paid to Felicia Park Urban Community Farm;

 

 

(iv)

A grant of £300 be paid to Gosport Borough Cricket Club;

 

 

(v)

No grant be paid to Lee-on-the-Solent Squash Club;

 

 

(vi)

A grant of £1,000 be paid to Rowner Carnival with the recommendation that an application for further funds be made to Hampshire County Council;

 

 

(vii)

No grant be paid to Lee-on-the-Solent Business Association.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Consideration was given to the exempt report of the Financial Services Manager (a copy of which is affixed in the Minute Book as Appendix “B”) concerning an application for Capital Grant Aid.

 

 

RESOLVED: That:

 

 

(i)

A grant of £2,000 be paid to St Thomas’s Church Hall.
