Councillor Smith declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Agenda item 5 and did not attend the meeting or take any part in the voting thereon. He was available to answer questions if required. |

14 | APPLICATION FOR A PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE - WATERFRONT FESTIVAL, WALPOLE PARK, GOSPORT |

The Board received a copy of the Regulatory Services Manager’s report (a copy of which is attached in the minute Book as Appendix ‘A’). The Council had approved a Public Entertainment Licence for the Waterfront Festival on Walpole Park, subject to special conditions. |

The Board thanked Mr Hudson, a local resident living in the vicinity of Walpole Park, for attending the meeting and for his letter to the Board. The Board proposed to adopt his suggestion for announcements over the PA system requesting people to leave the festival quietly at the end of the evening, such announcements to be made before 11 pm. The Board would also adopt Mr Hudson’s suggestions concerning the content of a letter to local residents. |

In answer to a Member’s question, it was confirmed that the number of security personnel had been increased from the number recommended in the original risk assessment. |

RESOLVED: That the Licensing Board approves the special conditions as set out in the Regulatory Services Manager’s report. |
The meeting commenced at 6.00 pm and concluded at 6.25 pm.
