RESOLVED:  That the Minutes of the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 9 October 2002 be confirmed and signed.

DEPUTY MAYOR'S COMMUNICATION
 
Haslar 250th Anniversary
 
The Deputy Mayor reported that Members of the Council had been requested to support events being held to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Royal Hospital Haslar in 2003.  A series of 250 items were being marketed to help fund the events and currently on sale were 2003 Calendars and 'Haslar 250' Notelets, depicting past and present scenes of the hospital.

QUESTION PURSUANT TO STANDING ORDER 3.4
 
(A)    Question No 1 standing in the name of Councillor Carter on the subject of the 'Connecting Communities Programme' was answered by the Leader of the Council.

NOTICE OF MOTION
 
It was reported that, in accordance with Standing Order 3.3.1, the undermentioned Notice of Motion had been received from Councillor Chegwyn:
 
'That this Council resolves to convey the honour of Honorary Alderman on former Councillor and Mayor of Gosport, Mr Geoffrey Rushton'.
 
RESOLVED: That the above Notice of Motion be referred to the Policy and Organisation Board for consideration.
