Notice is hereby given that an EXTRAORDINARY MEETING of the COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF GOSPORT will be held in the TOWN HALL, GOSPORT on WEDNESDAY the SIXTH DAY of APRIL 2005 at 5.30PM AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO ATTEND TO CONSIDER AND RESOLVE THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS –
1. To receive apologies from Members for their inability to attend the Meeting.
2. Election of Honorary Freeman
In accordance with Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the Council is required to approve the following recommendation:-
“That, the Council, in pursuance of their powers under Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act, 1972, do hereby confer on the Falklands Veterans Foundation, the Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Gosport in recognition and acknowledgement of their eminent services to the Borough and the lives of Falklands Veterans and their families.”
