It was reported that, in accordance with Standing Orders, Councillor Hayward had been nominated as substitute for Councillor Burgess.

PART II

21.   EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC

RESOLVED:  That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the under mentioned items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 9 and 12 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

22.   STEANE HOME REGENERATION PROPOSAL

Consideration was given to an exempt report of the Housing Services Manager (a copy of which is affixed in the Minute Book as Appendix "A").

The Board was advised that the third sentence of paragraph 4.2 in the report should be re-worded as follows:

"The Council's commitment to this scheme is by way of Social Housing Grant to PHA to a total value of £1.85m spread over a number of years from 2006 and will be provided for in the Council's Capital Programme."

The Board congratulated the Leader of the Council, the Chairman of the Housing Board, other Members, the Housing Services Manager and his staff together with residents involved for the amount of work that had taken place to put the proposal together and the manner in which that work had been undertaken.

RESOLVED: That, subject to the amendment to paragraph 4.2 of the Housing Services Manager's report, the recommendations of the report be approved.
