Democratic Services section consists of a team of three full time staff, and is part of the Legal, Democratic and Planning Services Unit operating under the Borough Solicitor. Responsibilities of the section include the arrangement and administration of Council meetings, Boards, Sub-Boards and Committees.
The Council provides a wide range of services for the residents of the Borough of Gosport and decisions on the delivery of services are made at meetings of the Council, Boards and Sub-Boards. The Council also has an Overview and Scrutiny Committee that assists in the development of Council policy decisions in service areas.
