Welcome to Democratic Services
Democratic Services section consists of a team of five full time staff, and is part of the Legal and Democratic Support Service Unit operating under the Borough Solicitor. Responsibilities of the section include the arrangement and administration of Council meetings, Boards, Sub-Boards and Committees.
The Council provides a wide range of services for the residents of the Borough of Gosport and decisions on the delivery of services are made at meetings of the Council, Boards and Sub-Boards. The Council also has an Overview and Scrutiny Committee that assists in the development of Council policy decisions in service areas.
Members of the Democratic Services team are the principal contacts for Councillors, Council Officers and members of the public. If you require information about meetings and decisions taken at meetings please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Democratic Services team.
