To meet the requirements of The Children Act 2004, the Government’s green paper “Every Child Matters” and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Gosport’s Local Strategic Partnership invited key strategic leads and delivery managers responsible for delivering services to children and young people in Gosport, to form a Children and Young People’s Locality Partnership to:
Provide the strategic leadership in the planning, delivery and monitoring of services and support for children, young people, their families and carers in Gosport
Be Gosport’s multi-agency group responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services to improve outcomes for children and oung people.
At its first meeting in December 2006, the Gosport Children and Young People’s Locality Partnership (GCYPLP) agreed its membership to ensure representation from key stakeholders and established the Group’s Terms of Reference. One of the primary tasks of this group has been to develop this Children and Young People’s Plan for Gosport.
The Plan was launched on 14th November at an event where stakeholders from all over Gosport were asked to identify actions to identify gaps in provison. Outcomes from this event will be used to develop an action plan to deliver the priorities within the plan
