Falklands - 30th Anniversary Commemoration In 1997 Gosport Borough Council held the first ever ceremony to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the Falkland War. Since then the Veterans of the conflict, the families of those lost and the people of Gosport have turned out to commemorate the 20th & 25th anniversary. On Sunday 27 May, they will all gather once more to remember loved ones and friends as we mark the 30th Anniversary.

Gosport Carnival 5th May - Update Due to the wet weather the Gosport Carnival event has been relocated to the lower level of Walpole Park car park. The procession will commence 2.15pm from the Haslar Road.

26 April 2012 (1) - JOINT INVESTIGATIONS RESULT IN COURT APPEARANCE FOR TWO GOSPORT MEN A joint investigation between Gosport Borough Council and the Department for Work Pensions (DWP) has resulted in Mr Robert Fairweather (51) of Harvard Close, Lee on Solent appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates Court.
24 April 2012 (1) - CALLING VOLUNTEERS & ORGANISATIONS THAT CARE As this is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, Gosport Voluntary Action (GVA) will be holding a 1950's style Diamond Jubilee Tea Party at the Thorngate Hall Ballroom from 4pm - 6pm on Thursday 31 May.
