Commercial Team Service Plan: Every Food Authority is required by the Food Standards Agency to produce a service plan, ensure that it is approved by Members and review it annually. The Health and Safety Executive also requires an Enforcing Authority to produce an annual service plan approved by Members.

 

Gosport's revised Service Plan for 2008/9 was approved by Councillors on the 16th June 2008. To download a copy please click here.

 

Comments or suggestions about this year's Plan were invited from any stakeholder or interested party. Time was limited but no comments were received by the deadline set. A longer period of consultation will be arranged in future.

Gosport Borough Council has introduced a system of public access to our food inspection ratings known as Safe2eat. From the 13th June the public will be able to check on the food safety compliance of all food businesses in the Borough as assessed during routine inspections. The score is based on national guidelines issued by the Food Standards Agency and rates premises as Satisfactory, Unsatisfactory or Excellent. The majority of premises are rated as satisfactory, those premises rated as unsatisfactory will be subject to enhanced enforcement procedures to improve compliance.
